La Fogata was introduced to Van Nuys Blvd. in 1977 by Vram and Maria Alian. Living and raising three children in Mexico City for many years, they were accustomed to Mexican food and culture, which is represented in La Fogata’s food and décor. Their son, Jack Alian, continued the family tradition by expanding and opening a La Fogata at a new location. Jack introduced numerous authentic dishes, such as the Tampiqueña, Chicken Milanesa, Chicken Mole and many more.

La Fogata’s menu features a large variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner plates served on a daily basis. A selection of Mexican import and domestic beers, margaritas, Horchata, Tamarindo and Jamaica are offered to add to the Mexican food experience.
